We are aware that SDG&E has activated their Emergency Operations Center and initiated PSPS (Public Safety Power Shutoff) protocols in response to the forecasted increase in fire weather.
At this time, our schools have not received any notification from SDG&E regarding planned power shutoffs. We are closely monitoring the situation and are in direct contact with SDG&E. Should there be any updates or changes, we will inform you immediately.
Please rest assured that the safety of our students, staff, and community is always our top priority. School will remain open as scheduled tomorrow and we will continue to monitor the situation and will notify families and staff promptly if anything changes that affects school operations or safety.
Thank you for your cooperation and understanding. We will keep you informed of any new developments.

Thank you to Alpine's Fire Marshall, Jason McBroom for spending the morning with AUSD leadership reviewing school site Fire Safety protocols. In collaboration with Alpine Fire, we plan to be prepared should a disastrous event come our way.
