Next week is Staff Appreciation. On Friday, May 7th we will have fifth grade photos for promotion. Please remember to go online and fill out next year’s registration. Everyone is required to complete this process. We only have 37% participation at this point. Thank you for continuing to follow the drop off and pick up schedules. Please do not double park on the dirt area. The Highway patrol will ticket for this. We have the new touchless water bottle dispensers operational. Children are able to refill their bottles as needed. PTA is in need of a few officers for next year. If you are interested, please contact the school office for additional information.

I hope everyone that was able to attend the Waking up Courage assemblies enjoyed them. We appreciated all the positive feedback that was received. If you were not able to attend the assemblies, they introduced students to language and skills they can use to prevent and stop bullying. The Waking Up Courage Assembly is a powerful, student-centered experience that enlists, unites, and empowers students to take a stand and speak up when they see bullying and violence among their peers. We will have more opportunities to participate next year.
If you have not completed the online registration, please do so. We will begin organizing classes based on enrollment. We will be sharing more information soon on some fun Summer School opportunities.

Southern Indian Health Council (SIHC) is providing COVID vaccinations to anyone 16 years old and up. Call 619-445-1188 x400 to schedule an appt. at SIHC. COVID testing and vaccinations will also be held at JMMS on Wednesday, May 19. You can schedule an appt. at myturn.ca.gov.

I hope everyone had a great Spring Break and are ready to return to school tomorrow, April 5th. Please, remember to stick to the drop of and pick schedules to avoid traffic delays. We are very excited to be back to school for 4 days a week. It is still very important that everyone adheres to the safety protocols that have been put in place. If your child is out, do not forget to call the office to let us know. With everyone working together we will have a wonderful last trimester.
