Welcome to Joan MacQueen Middle School where Dust Devil students connect with their school, engage in rigorous curriculum and take pride in their school and their accomplishments.
Joan MacQueen Middle School (JMMS) provides rigorous, well-balanced, challenging and comprehensive programs in grades 6-8 that meet the needs of each student in a culturally diverse and ever-changing society. Through their years at Joan MacQueen, students grow academically and socially in a safe, supportive, positive and engaging environment to develop the skills and potential for lifetime learning, enabling them to be responsible members of a global society. Students leave JMMS prepared with the knowledge and skills needed to be successful in high school, college and career.
The Joan MacQueen Middle School staff is committed to providing high quality education for every learner with an emphasis on critical thinking, communication, collaboration, creativity and character. These skills are provided in our core program courses of math, English, social studies and science, as well as, a wide range of electives in band, percussion, student leadership (ASB), yearbook, computer programming, art, photography, makerspace, beginning robotics, advanced robotics, Spanish, musical theater and Keyboarding.
4th Qtr Report Cards
have been uploaded to ParentVue and StudentVue. You may now view your student's report card online and download or print a copy for your records. We also have uploaded PDF versions of 1st-3rd quarter report cards. 2016-17 report cards will be available on ParentVue and StudentVue through the end of July. Have a safe and fun summer break!
On May 20th our JMMS team competed at the Junior Solar Sprint Event. They did exceptionally well bringing home several medals and two of our students, Hayden L. and Ramses L. qualified for the national solar car competition in Florida. Way to go team and Mrs. Casey!
Congratulations Track Team!
The team brought home 33 ribbons from the Granite Hills Invitational on May 18th. Two NEW school records were set. Hayley B. in the long jump at 14'10" and Ashlyn B. in the mile at 6:17. Way to Go!
CONGRATULATIONS Band and Drums!
The JMMS band and drums attended the Forum Music Festival in Irvine on May 12th where band earned the silver and drums earned the gold! Way to go Dust Devils!
As we embark on selecting the next principal for Joan MacQueen Middle School, we want to hear you hopes, dreams and wishes for the future.
