Science Showcase a Big Success!

The researchers were knowledgeable about the projects they created themselves.  Each student explained their experiment as parents, staff and visitors toured the showcase.  It was evident that the students had come up with their own ideas and carried out the research with the guidance of Mrs. Hull.  The experiments covered a range of subjects and students answered questions with confidence and expertise.  Our first Science Showcase was definitely a great success.  Thank you to our community judges, who took time out of their busy schedules, and to our community sponsors, who provided prizes for the participants (including medals and ribbons for the winners). The judges included Carlette Anderson, Alpine’s Honorary Mayor, Charlie Brown, Director of Community Relations for Viejas, Dr. Clinton Friday, Al Guerra, former Mayor of Alpine, and Dr. Tim Ko. Our community sponsors included Alpine Pizza and Pasta, Amira Pharmaceuticals, Awards by Navajo, Friday Family Chiropractic, McDonalds, Pizza Hut, Submarina, Viejas, and 107.9 FM.
