Degrees and Certifications:
I feel fortunate to be a part of the second grade team at Boulder Oaks.
Currently, Mrs. Cross and I share a teaching contract in Room 1. I have worked my entire teaching career in the Alpine Union School District, and was one of the original teachers who opened Boulder Oaks in 1990. I have taught 2nd and 3rd grades during my tenure here.
I attended San Diego State University where I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work. I worked as a social worker for disabled children and adults. Later, I went back to school at National University for my elementary teaching credential, and Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction.
Personally, I live Alpine where my husband and I have raised two amazing sons. They were both students at Boulder Oaks and are now grown and on to their own careers! Wow, how time flies! In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, especially my two young grandchildren! I love to travel, read, do needle crafts, and hike.
It is my hope that I will provide a learning environment that is nurturing, fun, and challenging for each child. It is amazing to watch how much second graders grow emotionally, socially and academically during the school year. I share in their enthusiasm for learning!
